HAUL Post: It's SALE TIME!!! Woodland, Vero Moda & Bata!

This season most people have been shopping left, right and center whereas many beauty/fashion bloggers have been putting random shopping bans on themselves and finding old clothes to wear in new ways. I need to take control of my overflowing cupboard too and cant afford to do big hauls. For people like me this season can get quite intimidating, as the word SALE is not hard to escape-from shopping malls to showrooms next to my gym to online stories to  email inbox(es) to blogs everywhere...EVERYTHING is marked with the word SALE!!!

I am a regular at the gym and my DRY-FIT lowers last the longest and are the most comfortable to wear. A couple of my favorite ones are from NIKE which generally offers the best variety. However, this time when I rushed to the nike showroom I could not find the slim fit leggings which I wore in this OOTD. This time Nike has the same quality of skin fit but in 3/4th length. I wasn't too sure at that time that whether it would look good on me and without giving it a try I hopped on to adidas and reebok. While Reebok didn't have dry fit AT ALL, the Adidas Dry-FIT quality was hideous-like a villager's churidaar gone bad! Yuck!. Anywho...my mum wanted to check out some sandals for office wear from woodland and to my utter shock I realized that Woodland had started keeping gym wear! All of that was on 40% off along with other clothing and since this one had pink and purple (my 2 most favorite colors) I quickly gave it a try-And in that exact moment it was mine. Just like that. This pair of lowers was for 1400 INR and on discount I got it for 500 INR (approximately)!

However, I did have a bad experience this time with woodland too. I bought a neon orange tank top from Woodland and wore it to my gym beneath my hoodie! After jogging for half an hour I came home to realize that the front of the tank top had gone bad. (Imagine it took one gym session for it to get worn away) The idiotic store manager in Chandigarh blamed me when I took it back to show him... GRRRrr... Nonetheless I have lodged a complaint with the company and the top is still with them...Horrible...simply horrible. If you still are concerned about the pricing then the top was for 400INR after discount and 1200 INR without. Bohoo to woodland for poor customer service.

Now that my tank was gone, I wanted to buy a new one. Fortunately I found this perky pink at West-side store. They too were having a sale. This one was for around 300 INR after discount which is a great steal! I liked a couple of tops from Remanika too. They had very fun prints going about on tops as well as on dresses. I thought it would suit my pocket as well as my weight loss efforts if I reserve buying those a couple of months later. BTW, I have already worn this vero moda tank to the gym and the material is perfectly light weight and durable. This did not get worn out. So  A BIG THUMBS UP TO VERO MODA for producing good quality apparel!

One of my college friends is getting married in a couple of days. I have given my dress material along with instructions and design to my tailor and I will do an OOTD soon. I am a shoe fanatic. I collect shoes (and bags too). I dont think anyone can ever have enough heels. Heels turn me on more than jewelry I guess. So anyways, here are the heels I wore to my friend's haldi ceremony-featured in this OOTD. Those were from Tashi (from the house of Tata but they have Amore' written on them). While they are super high and super sexy, you cant run around a lot in them. This time I am going to attend the sangeet and that too at a Punjabi function where it would be considered a crime not to dance. Therefore I was looking for comfortable high heels (ok that might be a myth, OR NOT) but I was looking. When I searched every shoe shop in Chandigarh from Shoe Tree to Mochi, to Drish to Drishti to what not and found that either they had only bling or flats I was utterly disappointed. And with a sullen face when I was returning to the parking lot, I happened to cross the Bata Showroom which too had the word SALE etched over the glass window. Behind the 'Oh so Magical' word I saw a couple of attractive pair of heels. Not expecting much (the only bata I ever owned was a pair of bathroom slippers, that too as a kid) I entered the shop to realize that they were all out of my size. (Curiously Bata sandals fit me for a size 4, whereas everywhere else I'm a size 5.Hmmm...)I saw this pair tucked in a corner and while it wasn't exactly love at 1st sight, I was quite excited with the way it fit my feet! Although the pair wasn't available at a discount, it was quite a steal at 1500 INR :D

So that's my shopping story and my small haul. This time I was particular not to spend too heavily and shop for only the most essential items.
Have you been a sensible shopper? Did you blow away all your savings? Want to share a good/bad shopping experience?
Let me know!
I'm all ears <3

The words in your content seem to be running off the screen in Firefox.
I'm not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I thought I'd post to let you know.

  12. First of all I would like to say excellent blog!
I had a quick question in which I'd like to ask if you do not mind. I was interested to know how you center yourself and clear your thoughts before writing. I have had trouble clearing my thoughts in getting my thoughts out. I truly do enjoy writing but it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes tend to be lost just trying to figure out how to begin. Any suggestions or tips? Thanks!

It's pretty worth enough for me. Personally, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be much more useful than ever before.
